Dr. Billy Graham shows the way to hope

A few weeks ago Dr. Billy Graham received an invitation to join some old friends, people he had known for years, at a dinner in Washington. He didn’t feel he had the stamina to make the trip, so his son Franklin Graham went in his place.
Franklin gave the opening prayer. After dinner a nationally respected opinion researcher, a pollster, walked over and, He explained that he constantly monitors what Americans are thinking. He said that anxiety is extraordinarily high right now among Americans. Fear is crowding out hope in so many people’s lives. People are anxious about everything, especially about the future.”
Dr. Billy Graham said that the beginning of, the first step towards hope is prayer ... Specific prayer for a specific person. Will you join Dr. Graham, beginning today, to pray for our nation by praying for specific people you know, asking God to seek them and draw them to Himself? (BGEA)
Dr. Graham and his son have begun a movement to bring a program of sorts into our houses. A plan for us to invite people we have specifically prayed for into our homes to have dinner, dessert and to listen to Dr. Graham speak. There will be a program for TV broadcast, a DVD, or delivery to a laptop, tablet or smart phone featuring music, meaningful vignettes, and short messages from Dr. Graham. After the program we may share our reason for hope and ask them if they would like to make a decision.
In a “Journey Across America,” a video about a young man visiting cities, he gently, politely talks with people about whether or not they have lost hope. The people he talks to open up easily with him to tell them their city’s hopelessness, their friends’ joblessness, their own heaviness from losing a job or a husband. It was a poignant picture of current America.
At the beginning of your prayers, the word [giving an answer] went forth, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved. Daniel 9:23
