Disney Dining at Epcot: Places to enjoy a drink around World Showcase

Tutto Gusto, in Italy of Epcot World Showcase, offers a small menu that includes a nice selection of appetizers as well as a couple of entries (e.g. pasta and panini sandwiches) and desserts.Epcot’s Italy pavilion offers many places to sip an Italian wine. My recommendation? Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar, which is connected to Tutto Italia restaurant and located near Via Napoli. As its name suggests, Tutto Gusto specializes in wine and offers a wide variety of selections at various price points. Wine may be enjoyed by the glass or bottle, and wine flights are also available.Worth noting is that this “wine cave" complements the tequila-focused La Cava for guests seeking an intimate, if busy, experience.La Cava offers more than 100 tequilas, tequila flights, frozen margaritas, and a number of number of specialty margaritas  – like the blood orange, jalapeno, mango, mint, cucumber, avocado and on and on. Part of the reason is Epcot World Showcase, with its 11 pavilions representing different countries and cultural traditions. Part of the reason is the diversity of Epcot restaurants and general quality of the meals served at the theme park. And part of the reason is the availability, and variety, of Epcot’s alcoholic drinks.

There are numerous places to enjoy a tasty adult beverage throughout the theme park, especially at Epcot World Showcase. Among the many “Drink Around the World” (DATW) options at Epcot are several drinking spots where the location is as important to the experience as the beverage itself.

What follows a personal list of just some of Epcot’s popular drinking spots, listed clockwise around Epcot World Showcase when visiting from the park’s main entrance. For more information and photos, see the attached list.

  • La Cava del Tequila in Mexico specializes in tequila, tequila flights and margaritas.
  • Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar in Italy offers more than 200 options to delight Italian wine lovers but also offers a wide range of cocktails and liqueurs, beer and coffee.
  • Mitsukoshi sake bar in Japan offers the opportunity to sample different sakes in an environment that is part educational experience, part shopping display.
  • Rose & Crown Pub in United Kingdom is the drinking spot for Anglophiles who appreciate a full bar, including good beer and whiskey, and Disney entertainment.

Of course, this is a short list of options at Epcot. For a quick drink, guests can enjoy outdoor kiosks around World Showcase that serve beer, wine and/or cocktails. The quick-service, casual restaurants will also offer a limited drink menu representative of their countries, while table-service restaurants tend to have extensive menus with wine, beer and specialty cocktails.

  • Tutto Gusto offers a full-service bar, special liqueurs (e.g. limoncello, sambuca) and cocktails (e.g. the Italian margarita pictured here), beer and coffee drinks. Italy is also home to Enoteca Castello, a small wine tasting bar in the merchandise areas that gets crowded rather quickly. Here, one can conveniently purchase Rosa Regale, the sparkling red dessert wine that enjoys something of a cult status for Epcot drinkers.For Disney guests who enjoy wine and wine tastings, the Weinkeller (Germany) and La Cava a Vin (France) also have small wine tasting bars.
  • Tucked away in one corner of the Mitsukoshi Department Store in Epcot's Japan is a small sake bar. Here, guests can choose from sakes, plum wine and sometimes specialty cocktails. Guests may also purchase a bottle of sake to take home. As with other locations, the Mitsukoshi sake bar offers a flight of sakes – along with information to engage your mind as well as your palate.
  • Because the sake bar is on display at the Mitsukoshi department store, part of it rather than separate, drinking there offers an oddly fun experience. Those who sip sake become part of the shopping atmosphere. The sake bar serves as a drinking stop that doubles as an educational experience while enticing guests to become a kind of living store display.There’s also an outdoor sake bar at Japan, but the indoor option – while often more crowded – is superior. It offers a more personalized experience, and is useful for those seeking to learn more about sake.
  • While the Rose & Crown Pub one of the busiest places for a drink while in Epcot World Showcase, the experience is well worth being elbow-to-elbow with the crowds. With its representation of various architectural styles and pub types, Rose & Crown is the drinking spot for Disney guests who appreciate theming and attention to detail.Rose & Crown also offers a touch of Disney when the popular "Hat Lady" entertains. Her piano performances include Disney music, another indication this drinks are only part of the appeal of this drinking spot.
  • Located in the United Kingdom pavilion at Epcot, Rose & Crown Pub offers a decent selection of ale, beer and cider as well as a wine selection and a full bar. Plan on a leisurely visit, or multiple visits, in order to enjoy more than one drink and take in the pub's theming and atmosphere.Some of my recommendations for this spot: a Rose & Crown specialty cocktail (e.g. the Welsh Dragon), a pub blend (e.g. Black & Tan) and/or a scotch flight.
