Information about Bungie's "Destiny" for the PS3, Xbox 360 and likely next-gen platforms came out Sunday. While we've look a little at what can be gleaned about the multiplayer and social aspects of the game, we're now going to look at the character classes that have been revealed so far.
In "Destiny", the mysterious being known as The Traveler saved the last of mankind and now hovers dormant over the last human city on Earth. While The Traveler is mysteriously spent of life, its powers live on in Guardians, humans who are able to wield special abilities granted by the alien being.
Bungie only formally announced three Guardian classes for "Destiny" - Titan, Warlock and Hunter - with a fourth possibly slipped in a preview from IGN. It's possible though that the Vanguard class name was simply mixed with the Titan.
The final number of classes is unknown but a character selection screen shown in the video documentary suggests that players will be able to build up to eight distinct characters to use in the game.
