Del Potro upsets Djokovic to make finals of Indian Wells tennis

Juan Martin Del Potro continued his assault on the top ranked men by defeating No. 1 Novak Djokovic 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 to earn his spot in the BNP Paribas Open final against Rafael Nadal.

On Friday, Del Potro took down no. 3 Andy Murray 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-1 while Nadal defeated Tomas Berdych 6-4, 7-5 in the other semifinal on Saturday and reach his fourth ATP Tour final in as many events.

Caroline Wozniacki will face Maria Sharapova in the ladies final where both will be making their third appearance.

Wozniacki needed over two and a half hours to stop Angelique Kerber 2-6,6-4, 7-5. Sharapova had an easier time in her victory over fellow Russian Maria Kirilenko 6-4, 6-3.

The finals will start with the women at 3 pm eastern followed by the men. ESPN2 will provide the live coverage from the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
