If you caught the November review you already know I've signed up for the service from Loot Crate. For those that don't know, Loot Crate is a subscription service that mails out fat loot filled box to gamers each month. Want to sign-up and get your own box of monthly gaming swag? Just follow this link. With that all said let's bust the December crate open.
Ah, the moment when you first open the crate of awesome loot. I love how the directions for the perfect opening are right there on the underside of the box cover. Document the loot, share the loot with the world, and then enjoy it for yourself. I totally will. This months theme is the Console Wars of the next gen systems.
Console Wars II
Console Wars II - The Xbox Strikes Back
I love how this captures the epic battle of the Rebel Alliance of the Playstation and Nintendo people fighting against the evil Mircosoft Empire. Personally, I'm voting that neither side win the war. I'm backing the wild horse Ouya in this generation of gaming platforms.
So this month the crates were packed with one of six different Tin-Tastic Creative Activity Sets. Batman, The Durby pony, Rainbow Dash, The Joker, Ironman, and Iron Patriot. As you can see I got Iron Patriot... really wanted Rainbow Dash. No I'm not a Broney, I just saw a cool cos-play on DeviantART.com a few months back. Warning that cos-play is totally NSFW.
These are Grip-It Control Protectors. They are designed to go over the top of the analog sticks on your game controllers. Right now I'm still waiting to get my Ouya, but for now I'm going to be using two of them on my PS2 controller. Yeah, I totally need to a new 360 well I'm at it.
Energems, there like caffeine loaded M&Ms. This come in three different flavors; peanut butter blast, chocolate charge, and mint fusion. Personally, I would have like to get the peanut butter ones instead of the mint, but I figured with peanut allergies being so popular that these were the safer ones to ship.
Yup, got my official membership card that makes me all official as a Lootcrate member. Now I can be all, "Bam, I get fat swag every month because I'm cool like that." Okay so I just like to show off membership cards.
inside the tin
Here you can see the goodies in the tin. Got an Ironman and an Iron Patriot eraser, Ironman 3 pencils, and some stickers as well. Planning to save this stuff and use the tin to transport my gaming dice for Magic in my backpack. So much cooler than the dice bag I was using.
The "Gamer/Geek" wristband that allows you to show off your pride as a Gaming Geek. You know it's odd that what was once a shame you hid away in you bedroom in high school is now so mainstream. Sorry, I'm old and grumpy sometimes about that.
I had to look up Bravest Warriors when I saw this sticker. Don't get me wrong, I love Han and Chewie, but i just didn't get the referance. Seems Catbug and Impossibear here are webcomic stars. Follow the link to check out the comics.
"Legends never die." It's so true. My OG Gameboy still works and I have my full library of 30+ Atari 2600 games to this day. Also the N64's Goldeneye is one of the most loved games of my generation.
The cool thing is that this crate came with a bonus holiday item. You just can't go wrong with the classic candy cane. Thanks Lootcrate.
