This holiday season, the arts world remains, on the surface, stoically secular. Yet, take a closer look and you'll discover little hints of a religious, or at the very least, a spiritual, undertone. Perhaps it's a Mexican prayer shawl peeping out from a busy scene. Or it may be a beautiful woman who is actually an allegory for a Roman goddess. You might even go as far as to say that the Olympians represented at one gallery are representative of the ancient gods themselves. So this month, while we rush from one store to another purchasing those holiday gifts and stop by church with just enough time to give thanks and celebrate, we see a remembrance of things long past, a collision of cultures, and even a nod to Paris, that city of lights and love. Read on for what you'll see in the galleries this month.
