Debbie Bliss and her knitting books

Debbie Bliss is a designer of her own line of yarns and has authored over 30 knitting books. She even has her own magazine. You can find patterns for the home, the family and pets. Knitting since a child in a small town in Bedfordshire, she has a lot of stitches under her belt.

She got her start by knitting plants, from small cacti and pansies to big cheese plants. As her popularity grew, Debbie was commissioned to design hand knits for magazines. After working for many years as a designer and owning a shop for three years, she launched her own line of Debbie Bliss yarns in the UK under a newly formed company called Designer Yarns.

Her inspiration for yarn colors and patterns comes from her daily life. The textures and feel of her yarns helps her develop themes for her books. Here is a pattern for a bunny egg cozy. Enjoy the slides and a bit about "The Knitter's Year", "Knits to Give" and "Family Knits".
