The Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football in a scrappy, and mostly sloppy, game to open the 2013 NFL season. The Cowboys' 36-31 win on Sept. 8 over their division rivals came thanks to six Cowboys' turnovers, including a big Eli Manning interception when the Giants were driving for a possible go-ahead score in the fourth.
While the offense still had problems, Dallas moved the ball when they needed to and avoided the massive turnovers that plagued the Giants, Romo throwing one interception in the game that was more his receivers' fault than his own.
Overall, the Dallas Cowboys defense and special teams won this game and the offense, relying more on the run than in past years, did what they needed to do to pull out the big win.
With the Cowboys big win, it also put them ahead of the Giants in the NFC East and gives them a nice advantage heading into the 2013 race to the playoffs. With that in mind, here are the five Dallas Cowboys players of the game for the big season opening win.
