I personally live in tee shirts year round. I think that not only are they fun and easy to wear but depending on the cut of the tee shirt or style they can be dressed up or dressed down. For a casual day I find that my favorite go to tees are muscle graphic tees pair with leggings are a simple yet chic outfit. For a more dressier/nighttime look, I can pair up a v-neck fitted tee shirt with a chic blazer over skinny jeans and booties and maybe some chunky jewelry and I'm good to go. When in a rush and you don't have time to get all gussied up, tee shirts are a definite staple that can pull you together in any situation.
So if you're like me you probably have tons of tee shirts lying around. What do you do with all those old tee shirts you no longer wear though? If it has sleeves I usually cut them off, trim the color and covert it into a more playful muscle tee. If it's a long sleeve tee shirt it gets converted into a short sleeve. If it's too tight, then fringes and color blocking can transform that tee shirt into a more flowing and breezy tee shirt and if it's black it gets a reverse tie dye treatment or a galaxy print like the tutorials I posted on reverse tie dyeing and creating galaxy prints (it's under D.I.Y Friday: Tutorial 5: Galaxy Print Leggings).
Makes you want to go through your tee shirts and revamp your wardrobe doesn't it? If you like the idea of taking your old tee shirt wardrobe and transforming them into items that you will wear again and again, click through the list and check out some of these tutorials and have fun!
