Welcome back to D.I.Y Fridays! As a follow up to my previous series 'All about mascara' (Part I: It's all in the wands, Part II: Defining mascara, and Part III: The 20 best mascaras of all time) I have found that there are a large number of people who are switching to more organic mascaras and even making their own. One of the main reasons for all is that the cosmetic industry is very loosely regulated by the FDA and all those 20 letter words that you can't pronounce aren't always good for you. By making your own mascara at home you know it's safe for you as well and you know you won't be allergic to it.
Sounds like it would be complicated though doesn't it? In actuality it's not. All you really need are a few simple materials that can be found at your local drugstore or convenience store and that's it. You can even make colored mascara as well. Think about the huge wardrobe of colored mascaras you can have at a fraction of the price!
