The Alabama Crimson Tide and Texas A&M Aggies are consuming everything in college football on Sept. 14. Technically, the Tide and Aggies have consumed college football since Nov. 2012, after their famed first meeting in Tuscaloosa. But now that Johnny Manziel and the two-time champion Tide are meeting again in College Station at 3:30 p.m. est, all of college football is standing still – although there are still other games to be played.
Week 1 and 2 had multiple games of big national interest, yet there seem to be more slim pickings in Week 3 beyond College Station. There is only one other game this week between two top 25 teams, and the other top 10 teams in college football don’t appear to face big challenges. As such, it would appear that Alabama and Texas A&M are the only teams of interest in the sport today.
Nevertheless, college football fans have over three hours to kill before the Tide and Aggies take the field, then about five more hours to watch other games after they are done. Here is a list of the best bets to watch in Week 3, at least among games that don’t have Johnny Football or the defending national champions.
