The AP Top 10 has eight teams in it on September 16, 2013 who played last Saturday. Now number ten Texas A & M lost to a still number one University of Alabama Crimson Tide, 49-42. Still number two, the Oregon Ducks, crushed the Tennessee Volunteers, 59-14. The road warrior Ohio State Buckeyes beat their Pac-12 opponent, the Cal Bears, 52-34. In a road game the number five team Stanford University beat Army at West Point, 34-20. In a road game the University of Louisville beat their cross-state rival, the University of Kentucky, 27-13. The Louisiana State University Tigers crushed Kent State University, 45-13. The Florida State University Seminoles beat the University of Nevada Wolf Pack, 62-7. Two teams in this week's Associated Press poll, the Georgia Bulldogs and the Clemson Tigers, didn't play last week.
The USA Today Coaches Poll has the same teams in the top ten as the AP poll, with both polls ranking the University of Alabama as number one, neither unanimously.
