Children's Discovery Museum offers spring break programs

Public school students in Bloomington-Normal will be on spring break during the week of March 25-29, and the Children's Discovery Museum is holding Discovery Day Camps to keep kids learning and occupied during their time off of school. Your homeschooled students might not be on break that week, but they can still participate in these fun, educational programs. This list contains details on all five Discovery Day Camps being held in March.

Each Discovery Day Camp revolves around a kid-friendly topic. During the camps, children will participate in many thematic activities. They will also explore the museum and have a snack.

The day camp programs are for kids in kindergarten through grade five. Children will be split into age-based groups.

Discovery Day Camps begin at 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. Check in does not begin until 9 a.m., so please do not bring children early. Participants must be picked up promptly at the end of the program.

The cost for each camp session is $30 for museum members and $35 for non-members. Payment must be included with registration. Sign up over the phone with a credit card, or use the printable Programming Registration Form.

Children must bring a sack lunch or sign up in advance for a box lunch. The box lunches cost $5 and include a mini gondola from Avanti's, plus baked chips, applesauce and a juice box.

The museum is located in Uptown Normal at 101 E. Beaufort St., Normal, Ill. Call 309-433-3444 for information.

Registration must be completed at least three days in advance, so view this list today for all the information you need about these great programs at the Children's Discovery Museum.
