Here are tips to make a visit to the fair enjoyable, comfortable and memorable for the entire family.
Before arriving at the fair, supply a back pack with water bottles, sneakers, hat, sweater, sunscreen and any special items that are needed during an extended time away from home.
At the info booth pick up a schedule of daily events, map and guide for The Ten Best Days of Summer.
This timetable allows for visiting any exhibit, midway, shopping, or eating experience and periods to get out of the hot sun and sit down and relax.
3 p.m. - Miller Expo North, with A/C, exhibits featuring giant vegetables, fruit, veg and flower judging, giant sand sculpture and bonsai trees.

4 p.m. - Winns Thrill Show
Games of skill and chance, basketball hoops, balloon dart toss
Rides - The Yoyo
Jewelry hunt, dress hunt, this is a common theme looking for the best item at the best price.
Don't be afraid to ask for a bargain or discount! That's part of the fun.
5 p.m. - Daily fair parade, oxen teams, horses, ponies, bands and local celebrities such as Keeghan Nolan.
Dairy Milking Center - chocolate milk shake
Vermont Grange - Ware Building Annex with A/C, fresh creamed butter & roll samples, quilting squares for Ronald McDonald House project.
5:30 p.m. - McKenzie's Racing Pigs - near Pearl St. entrance
Old McDonald's Farm - Modern Living Building, feed ponies, baby animals, watch chickens hatch
6 p.m. - Blue Ribbon Pavilion with A/C, home crafts, jewelry hunt, holiday decorations, fine arts gallery
7 p.m. - Dinner Soft Tacos at picnic table near stand. Try on pink cowboy hat. Buy cobra ring with rhinestones.
Quadra and PleasureDome, the evening's entertainment begins and can be heard in many areas of the fairgrounds.
8 p.m. Walk the midway, Palm Reading, Ferris Wheel, fried dough, Dutch Wheel, Bumper Cars
9 p.m. - Buy pink cowboy hat, kettle corn and watch (mentioned above local 80s cover bands) through the link fence.
Head home happy!
