The new Alamo Drafthouse in Aspen Grove/Littleton looks to celebrate Halloween early this year, kicking off the first weekend in October with the 2013 Mile High Horror Film Festival. Showcasing a wide variety of genre films, filmmakers, artists and celebrities from around the world for Denver's hungriest, most voracious horror fans, the annual scarefest looks to unfurl its macabre cinematic treats this Thursday through Sunday. While the lineup of primarily unreleased short and feature-length films offers genre fans a wicked jump start on sifting through some of the year's most delectable horror gems - along with a fair amount of fool's gold, no doubt - every day of the fest offers a surprisingly impressive variety of cult icons and maleficent celebrities in attendance, all of whom this Examiner has dutifully condensed into the following list.
The Alamo Drafthouse is located in Aspen Grove, just off Santa Fe Dr. and Mineral Ave., and - while full day passes are already sold out - individual screening tickets are available now at: http://www.mhhff.com/tickets.html. Feast your depraved eyes on the list below for details on all the special screenings and celebrities gracing our own Alamo!
