After approximately six months of redecorating, renovations and re-inventions, Castle nightclub celebrated its grand opening Friday March 1, 2013 with a lot of fanfare. Located at the site of what for 24 years was home to two of Chicago's most popular and celebrated nightclubs, Excalibur and Vision, Castle is now a multi-venue nightclub with something fun for every taste and preference.
Headlining at Palladium, Castle's largest dance room, was Grammy Winning producer and DJ Roger Sanchez with house music all night long. DJ Chris Cox christened Castle's other dance room, Sanctuary.
As with any nightclub, what truly makes a venue memorable is the people: the staff and patrons. It seems then, that Castle management put in as much effort in the selection and hiring of its staff as it did with its elaborate aesthetics. The charm of its employees was matched only by their professionalism on what by all accounts would have been a stressful occasion, it was opening night after all!
And the patrons? Well, they were some of Chicagoland's hippest and beautifullest people. Don't believe me? Check out some of the pics and judge for yourself.
Weren't able to make it last night? Don't fret. The celebration continues tonight until 4 a.m. with DJ Chris Lake at Palladium and Clemente Entertainment taking over Saturdays Afterdark at Sanctuary.
