Bruno Mars' Moonshine Jungle Tour has been selling out since the tour opened in the United States on June 24 in Philadelphia. His tour continues until September 1 giving Puerto Rico a visit and making a stop in Tampa, Fla. just before heading out to his world tour until March 2014.
Bruno Mars, born Peter Hernandez in Honolulu to parents of Filipino and Puerto Rican descent, is having a successful tour and along with it he has four 2013 MTV Video Music Award nominations - Best Choreography for "Treasure"; Video of the Year, Best Male Video and Best Pop Video all for his hit song "Locked Out of Heaven" to add to his vast award nominations and numerous awards since his career. Coming from a musically inclined family, Bruno with 27 years of age didn't strike luck until after he excelled in writing numerous hit songs for other artists - K'Naan, Brandy and Flo Rida. It was his 2010 summer hit debut album that started his worldwide recognition - "Doo-Wops & Hooligans".
Bruno brings a mix of pop, reggae, soul, R&B, funk, jazz, blues, and rock on his Jungle Moonshine Tour next Wednesday, Aug. 28 at Tampa Bay Times Forum, 401 Channelside Dr. starting at 7:30 p.m. Bruno will be joined by special guest and newly signed Elektra artist, Fitz & The Tantrums.
