Last week the box office hulled in over $141 million in ticket sales. This week, it came up $39 million shy. There were three new offerings: "Jackass Presents Bad Grandpa", a movie designed for retards; "The Counselor", another attempt to turn a Cormac McCarthy novel into a film intended only for manic depressives; and "Blue is the Warmest Color" which debuts at the number 34 slot.
Weak; and there's little hope in sight.
"Last Vegas" opens this Friday. It's a cute movie, think "Hangover" with more heart and soul. But, the box office looks lame, until Thor hits the screens.
Remember, you can catch my exclusive OUTTAKES Report Card on "Last Vegas:" later this week on this same Examiner page. Right now, here's a list of this weeks winners and losers.
