Blue Estate, the video game based on the popular graphics novel from Viktor Kalvachev was unveiled on Wednesday as the latest entry to the PS4 and Xbox One gaming worlds. The game was officially announced as a rail shooter that will incorporate many of the well-known and well-loved (or hated) characters from the books.

Blue Estate will see gamers playing as one of two very different characters. Tony Luciano, the homicidal maniac son of LA's crime boss Don Luciano is waging war against the Silk gang in an ultra-violent effort to get his lady love back, his "Helen of Troy." The other playable character is that of Clarence. Clarence wanders the world of Blue Estate as a broke ex-navy seal who has been hired by Tony’s dad to clean up the younger Luciano’s mess and attempt to put an end to the escalating war.

Rail shooters are nothing new to the video game community, though Blue Estate has found a way to bring a little something new to the genre.

HESAW and Focus Home Interactive have worked together to take advantage of very interesting aspects of the controller aspects included on both the Xbox One and the PS4.

Using the upgrade Kinect coming with the Xbox One, gamers will see interesting controls coming from the motion controls as well as the special gyroscopic features included in Sony’s newest PS4 controller. Using these features, players will take on a wide variety of crazy villains, including Tony’s own hair and some very loving puppies.

One of the best features trumpeted in Blue Estate is the ability to have a truly cooperative multiplayer mode that pits one gamer against another as they try and outdo each other with the number of kills, maimings and head-shots throughout the story-line.
