Peace is characterized by quietness and calmness. A group exhibiting peacefulness shows unity and generally getting along. Nations have made a peace treaty to establish an agreement on certain behaviors. People, communities, and nations thrive during peaceful times. Agreement brings about shared goals, knowledge, and resources to be fulfilled in a time of peace.
Peacemakers are people who mediate two or more sides in conflict. He or she has a heart to see people get along instead of fight. They have abilities to bring out issues for each side and help solve them. They are peace loving and model the behavior in most cases. Their understanding of peace has roots in their relationship with God.
Jesus called these ones, “children of God.” The prince of Peace lives within them. They are found in churches, on playgrounds, in corporations, and in international organizations. They are blessings utilizing their gifts and talents in making peace.
Challenge: Believer, are you a child of God? So pursue peace with the Holy Spirit. It is a worthy goal!
