We've liked Blake Shelton's singing since the early days before fame overtook him and gave him the celebrity status he enjoys that made him what he is today. The Nashville country music scene probably remembers the long-haired Blake Shelton of the early days and the early hits. We saw Blake when he appeared on one of the video channel shows back when the 2001 recording 'Austin' was his first big hit, and then he came out with 'Ol' Red'. We were in a group audience and watched him as he performed before the crowd gathered at the Opry Mills Mall. The hits have kept on coming for him and now he is well-known, nationwide, as one of the panel of coaches or mentors on the popular "Voice" TV show, shown locally on Channel 4, WSMV TV, the NBC affiliate in Nashville.
Now married to popular female country music artist and songwriter, Miranda Lambert, and seeming to be hitting on all cylinders with his quest to be the 'host with the most' in country music awards shows, he is not only hosting some of the awards shows, but he's always winning some of those awards himself. From 'Entertainer of the Year', to 'Male Vocalist of the Year', on to songwriter awards for 'Single of the Year' and 'Song of the Year', he's sure to have a mantle full of awards by now, we think.
We checked out his touring schedule and we're bringing you a list of his next three concert dates on his "Ten Times Crazier Tour". Leave us a note and let us know what your favorite Blake Shelton song is. His popular tune out right now is a 'redneck' tune for sure, called 'Boys 'Round Here'. It is a catchy tune, but we like one of the older ones, 'Home' best, we think.
