Billboard Christian Albums Chart: Red debuts at the top of the chart

Two-time Grammy-nominated Red takes the #1 spot on the Billboard Christian Chart with “Release the Panic” and charted #7 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart. The group’s fourth album is also #1 on Hard Rock Albums Chart and #2 on the Independent Albums Chart. The rankings were announced Thursday, Feb. 14.

Colton Dixon is #2 with “A Messenger,” Chris Tomlin’s “Burning Lights” is #3 and “WOW Hits 2013” is #4. Last week’s Grammy Award winner “Eye On It” from TobyMac takes the #5 spot.

Brandon Heath’s “Blue Mountain” climbs to #16, “The Booth Brothers: A tribute to Bill and Gloria Gaither” moves up to #17 “Jesus at the Center” from last week’s Grammy winner Israel & New Breed leaps to #21 and Jason Castro’s “Only a Mountain” moves up to #25.

Da’ T.R.U.T.H. “Love Hope War” falls to #29, Rend Collective Experiment’s “Campfire: Worship & Community Reimagined” shifts to #23 and last week’s Grammy-winning “10,000 Reasons” from Matt Redman slips to #32.
