Even winter can be a great time to visit Longwood Gardens, as they truly have something for every season and every occasion. One feature that they have every year during the months of January through March is their orchid extravaganza. These beautiful flowers can be found all throughout the conservatory in a variety of colors and styles.
In addition to viewing the flowers, there are featured events throughout this month, including things like tours, talks, and events directed at kids and families. You can even purchase your own beautiful orchids to take home with you.

The inside of the conservatory changes throughout the year with the seasons, and during the months of January, February, and March it features a variety of orchids and other winter flowers.

Bird of Paradise
Another popular flower found at Longwood during the winter is the Bird of Paradise. These brightly colored and uniquely shaped flowers make you think of the tropics and summertime.
Orchids aren't the only type of flowers that can be found at Longwood Gardens during the winter. These red and pink flowers definitely stand out from the crowd.
Anyone that is drawn to bright and colors flowers will certainly love these vivid orange flowers, with many different shades of orange to be found.
Though this waterfall can be found in Longwood Gardens all year round, the sight of it during the months of January through March is very refreshing.
