Believer vs Non-Believer: BYU-Utah State rivalry game predictions

October 3, 2013

The big BYU-Utah State rivalry game is almost here. Who will win? Yesterday the "Believer," a USU fan of impeccable taste (perhaps lactose-intolerant) went off on the "Non-Believer," a BYU fan who wasn't having any of this hick jive talk from the "Believer."

This Cougar fan knows all about being persecuted; after all, his followers -- not Jim Beam -- were kicked out of several U.S. states, and wheeled their handcarts over the hills, through the woods and into little old, salty Utah.

In our last column, the two diametrically opposite fans jived about Taysom Hill, who would win in a fight between Matt Wells and Bronco, who has better uniforms and all that (not Utah) jazz.

That stuff is important (to you), but what's even more vital to the people who follow both BYU and Utah State is what team will actually win the game.

Will the Cougars trample over the Aggies with this newfound running game of theirs? Or, will Matt Wells and the boys put up 50-plus points like they did at Air Force, shocking everyone in the process?

The #Chuckie4Heisman campaign is in full throttle, folks and so is Bronco's BS detector. If you don't believe, ask Spencer Hadley and Cody Hoffman. The dude don't play.

Here then are predictions for the BYU-Utah State showdown on Friday, with a few local celebs weighing in to make things interesting. First things first with the "Believer" and "Non-Believer":
