Being single and loving it on Valentine's Day

You are single. You are fabulous. You are worth it. Buy yourself your favorite chocolates, that tasty bottle of wine or a rose to show that you appreciate you. In the end, before you can love anyone else, you have to love yourself. Being single does not mean that you're not awesome. In fact, maybe you need to remind yourself of how great you really are. Take your smart phone, laptop, or good old pen and paper, write down the best things about being single. Realize how valuable being single really is.Here's a few examples: 1. I don't have to compromise where I go.2. I can leave an event whenever I want.3. There world is full of dating options! I'm not tied down to just one.4. No crazy arguments with a boyfriend/girlfriend over trivial things. You may not be in relationship, but you love and are loved by many. Show them some love. Send out some silly Valentine's Day cards, or e-cards. Give some Hershey kisses to the chocolate lovers in your life. Put on something that makes you feel cute, get some friends together and go DO something. Dance, sing karaoke, go to a Pilates class, nerd out on a RPG game or just sit and watch some movies together. Whatever it is, have fun, have some laughs and don't stress about this faux holiday.

Valentine's Day can be one of the most annoying holiday ever. Diaper swathed cupids running around shooting people with arrows. Buying to say, "I love you," when you can literally just say the words. And then getting the look of pity when you're single on this day of hearts. No more of this! You are single, and wonderful!

First off you have to change your mindset. It's no longer "Valentine's Day." From this day forward, call it "Singles Appreciation Day." Here's the thing. You're not S.A.D. you're awesome. Let's get into this.
