On March 26, 2014, Glen S. Wade II announced that he wrote a new song, "Latin Luv," featuring Safia Hudson. Wade shares his story on the song's research as well as some of the behind-the-scenes' still shots, all amazing!
Already fans have praised the song saying it's incredible. No surprise, as Wade, out of Gainesville, Fla., does not jump into his work unprepared.
One can tell by looking at this man that his body is his temple, and therefore everything else he works on also requires patience and discipline, including his music. Obviously Wade's diligence and research are two of the keys to his success.
"After receiving much support from Central and South America I was really motivated to step into their world and try to 'take' their culture. I still wanted to deliver something that everyone could dance to, so I studied Bachata. I decided that dance style would be great combined with Hip Hop."
"Bachata is a style of dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. The basics to the dance are three-steps with a Cuban hip motion, followed by a tap which can include a hip movement also on the 4th beat. It is danced widely all over the world but not identically." - Wikipedia
According to Wade, the Philippines, Brazil, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Peru, Spain, Venezuela and America include the cultural backgrounds for this kind of music.
"Also, I reached out to Safia Hudson. We had a great time working on the song. She sings in multiple languages. I utilized her skills plus her Spanish abilities, and she nailed it!"
Tied to "Latin Luv," is yet an additional project of Wade's, a music video. Currently it is in production. To complete the project Wade brought on board a Spanish dance group that has choreographed a dance number for "Latin Luv."
"KLEAN beatz handled all of the song's production. They had the beat made before I flew into Miami from Houston. He (beatz) reminds me of a young Timbaland (record producer), except a lot smaller!"
Thank you Glen S. Wade II for sharing about your new music project. It sounds, IS, exciting! Fans can look forward to the finished "product," the official music video. Other talented people that Wade worked with on this project included Lou Brandow Photography and stylist Dawn Brandow, both out of Gainesville.
