BBC announced yesterday that "Being Human" will not return after this season. Season five premiered on February 3, to only 731,000 viewers.
Season four ended with the last of the original cast, Annie departing in the finale. This left a lot of the few fans that held on to the show even more disappointed.
This season promised a new cast of vampires, werewolves, and ghosts from the original but the fans didn't seem to respond with the huge change.
This is the description that was released about this season
What do you get when you put a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost in a house-share in Barry? The return of Being Human! Ghost Alex is adjusting to life after death with werewolf Tom but vampire Hal is in hell. Not because he’s chained up like an animal, but because he’s desperate to get his marigolds on the messy house. But when Tom and Alex decide to set him free, Hal’s wracked by uncertainty…can he control his bloodlust?
Well, many fans are not shocked by this announcement. Many of the American fans of both the British and America series, traded the British one for the American one after the third season.
How will this affect the viewership of the SyFy version of "Being Human"?
Are you going to tune in to the BBC version when it is available in the US?
