WonderCon returns to the Anaheim Convention Center the weekend of April 18-20, 2014. On April 1, 2014, DC Comics announced three exclusive comic book variants that will only be available at the convention. Each exclusive comic book will be sold at the Graphitti Designs booth (#301).
Not surprising since this in the 75th anniversary of the introduction of the character, Batman is the featured character on two of the exclusives. With Neil Gaiman's "Sandman Overture" picking up the third.
The Batman exclusives are just part of the celebration that DC Comics has cooking to celebrate the Caped Crusader 75th birthday. First appearing in the comic book "Detective Comics" #27 (March 1939), Batman has become a cultural phenomenon translating to all mediums.
Batman headlines more comics than any other single hero currently published in the United States, and with his extended spin-off family of titles Batman's line of books is bigger than most publishers entire line of books.
'Batman Eternal' #1
"Batman Eternal" #1 kicks off a weekly Batman series that is being created by some of the top writers and artists working for DC Comics including Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, Ray Fawkes, Tim Seeley and John Layman. The art and cover for the first issue if by Jason Fabok.
The WonderCon Exclusive cover features Fabok's uncolored artwork and is highlighted by the "Batman 75" logo. This will be available for $10.
Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo are the modern masters of the Batman tale. Currently in the midst of their year long "Batman: Zero Year" story the creators are showing why Batman is the greatest hero of DC Comics.
At WonderCon for $10, DC Comics is offering an exclusive cover to "Batman" #29 with artwork by Capullo with a color scheme in line with the colors of the WonderCon event.

Neil Gaiman has returned to Sandman with the launch of the new series "Sandman Overture." The best selling writer works with best selling and award winning artist J.H. Williams to tell a lost tale of Morpheus.
This WonderCon exclusive cover features the 3-D motion effect that was made widely popular by DC Comics with their September 2013 covers. This book will be available for $15.
