‘Bachelor’ host Chris Harrison blogs: Sean Lowe ‘shocking’ send offs

During ABC’s “The Bachelor” season 17 episode six (air date Feb. 5), Sean Lowe eliminated three bachelorettes, Selma, Sarah, and Daniella.

Host Chris Harrison blogged via Entertainment Weekly (Pop Watch) on Feb. 6, calling Sean’s choice of ladies to send home “shocking”.

Chris explained his thoughts on Sean’s selections for bachelorettes sent home during episode six:

“It’s pretty shocking considering how good some of their dates have been that Selma, Sarah and Daniella were all sent home this week. Selma really didn’t do herself any favors by not taking the polar bear plunge, but that’s not what sunk her relationship.”

“I think it was the way she explained to Sean that once she makes up her mind she doesn’t change it — no matter what. Sean is looking for a free spirit that will let go and make him laugh. He just didn’t see that in Selma or Sarah.”

Danielle seemed to shine in Sean's eyes during episode 5, but the spark seems to have fizzled over the weekend.

Sean blogs on why he decided to vote off Daniella:

“And Daniella was equally as hard to say goodbye to, because she was so much fun to be with. We just ran out of time. Our relationship started too late and my feelings for the remaining women were a little bit stronger.”

After Sarah presented him with family photos during the pre-rose ceremony, Sean seemed a bit spooked. She said she was ready for him to meet her family and Sean did not seem to feel the same. He explains why he sent Sarah home after the group date party:

“I knew Sarah was not the one for me and I needed to send her home. I could have waited for the rose ceremony, but I wanted to explain myself. I didn't think it was fair to make her wait two more days when I'd already made up my mind.”
