One of the earliest Nashville singer and songwriter friends we made was Ashley McBryde and we wrote about her in August of 2011 with this article 'Q&A with singer songwriter Ashley McBryde of Nashville' which was followed up with more articles about her and where she would be appearing in Nashville, including: 'Nashville Faces of The American Dream, Ashley McBryde'.
Originally from Arkansas, Ashley McBryde now makes her home in Nashville, Music City USA. While she makes many appearances here in town at various local Nashville music venues, she also appears in Arkansas and at points in between, as she travels a well-worn path between Nashville, her adopted city, and back home to her roots in Arkansas.
Ashley McBryde sounds like: Miranda Lambert, Patty Griffin, Carrie Underwood, The Band Perry, Pistol Annie's.
One of Ashley McBryde's Nashville appearances today, September 8th, is at the Antique Archaeology showroom in downtown Nashville, along with several other of our Nashville singer-songwriter friends. Ashley said in a post on Facebook earlier today:
"It'll be me and Andrew Sovine today at Antique Archaeology from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.. Come see what the 'American Pickers' are all about! Oh and hear us play and sing ..."
Song titles listed on her ReverbNation webpage include the following:
'Break It Fast'
'Why Do I'
From her ReverbNation webpage:
"Bio: Raw talent combined with a whiskey- washed sense of humor has been used to describe singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde. Mentor and famed co-writer, Lisa Carver (Reba McEntire, Willie Nelson), described her as a “writer’s writer.” Put her on a stage and you will see and hear that she is the nicest bad girl you’ve ever met."
Check out the attached list for where Ashley McBryde will be appearing for her next three shows, and leave us a note if you go to see her perform, and tell her your Nashville Places and Faces writer sent you!
