After a very cool star this morning, temperatures have warmed nicely across the entire state of Ohio today. We started into the lower 50s and managed to climb all the way up to 80 degrees. Tonight will not be quite as cool as clouds build ahead of a cold front, but much cooler air will spill into the region tomorrow behind that front.
With a thickening blanket of clouds tonight, lows will only drop into the upper 50s to around 60 degrees. Expect some clouds to start the day tomorrow but increasing sunshine as we head into the late afternoon hours. Highs will only reach the middle 70s with the cool northerly wind flow that will be in place. Even though it will be a few degrees cooler, Thursday will still be a very nice day of weather.
Lows will hit the 50 degree mark in Columbus on Friday morning. Areas outside the city will very likely drop into the 40s! Be sure to take the jacket out the door to work and have the kids wear one as well going to school. The jacket will be replaced with sun glasses on Friday afternoon. Highs will hit the upper 70s under mostly sunny skies.
As we approach the upcoming weekend, it will start to feel a bit more like early September with temperatures in the middle 80s. A weak weather system could bring a few showers well after dark on Saturday night and into the day on Sunday. The heat will build as we head into next week with highs pushing the middle and possibly even upper 80s.
