"American Idol" will air the Hollywood Week round of auditions on Feb. 6, 2013. All of the singers listed with a photo are still in the competition. These 10 girls are officially part of "American Idol's" top 40. There are 20 boys and 20 girls that survived all of the auditions so far. There are spoilers in this article so continue reading only if you want to know who goes through ahead of time.
Starting tonight, "American Idol" will show the process of elimination that led to choosing the top 40 of season 12. It is called Hollywood Week and is the next stage of auditions the contestants must go through after they receive their golden ticket. The importance of this round is to weed out the contestants that forget lyrics, get stage fright or cannot perform well in groups.
The "American Idol" top 40 will be officially revealed to the viewers on Feb. 14, 2012. Until then, you can view these photos to get a sneak peek at who makes it through. American Idol airs every Wednesday and Thursday on FOX channel WAWS 30 in Jacksonville, Fla.
