It's that time of the year that every fashionista loves. New York Fashion Week has kicked off the beginning of a series of global Fashion Weeks that will showcase all of the beautiful Spring/Summer 2015 Ready to Wear collections from many of fashion's most well known designers. I get just as excited about Fashion Week as I do football season, and I'm sure many others agree that this is a stylishly amazing time for the fashion industry. Writing reviews about every piece that stood out would be too much for one article, so I've pieced together standout pieces from a few collections that have been displayed so far.
This beautiful quarter sleeve jumpsuit is not only perfect for its sultry, curve-hugging design, but also for the standout floral, Hawaiian-inspired print. The bright and dark colors used for the print make this a transitional jumpsuit that can be worn not only in Spring, but Summer and early Fall as well.
Derek Lam 10 Crosby
This dress proved that "military-chic" is still in style for Spring and Summer of 2015. The remixed militant-inspired dress is lined geometrically, and paired with a deep plunge and cutout that takes this "I mean business" look into the sensual realm.
Missoni never fails to impress with their heavily printed clothing collections. Yet, even though they stick to their trademark prints, the pieces still remain unique and fresh each season. This red-hot mixes Spring and Summer with a hint of Fall, as the cropped top effect and full midi skirt give off a sophisticated, retro vibe. The color is perfect for any season transition, and the print gives a playful edge to this flirty dress.
In case you didn't know, pastel colors are here to stay for Spring and Summer. Blush, nudes, and soft pinks are already running wild on the runways, and Fashion Week is not even halfway over. This beautiful pink suit is perfect for Spring and Summer due to its soft, playful hue, as well as the standout hot pants. Hot pants and cropped tops/bustiers were all the rage last Summer, and with suit seperates to combine the two such as this, the trend looks like it is here to stay for Summer and Spring days!
ZAC by Zac Posen
Zac Posen brightened up his already vivid collection with this beautiful watercolor gown. Maxi dresses and skirts are the ultimate go-to for Spring and Summer, so this gown is sure to be a hot seller. With gorgeous hues that seem inspired by a beautiful sunset, this dress is sure to be a great transitional and classic piece.
