Alyssa Jacey is host for 'Writer's Nights' at the Hotel Indigo, Downtown Nashville, where she is not only hosting, but she is also booking other artists, plus performing, herself. She sings at 9 p.m. every Wednesday and Friday at her writer's shows, so be sure you stay to watch her perform. Recently nominated for "Best Live Performer" for the Nashville Independent Music Awards, she and the other nominees will find out if they've won awards at the NIMA Awards Show which will take place in Nashville, on Sunday, August 31.
We've heard it said that Alyssa Jacey's writers nights are both professional and fun, that you can count on a lineup of talent that will make the audience never want to leave their seats. These writer's nights hosted by Alyssa tend to run on time, (which we hear is sometimes unheard of in the music industry). Alyssa is a friendly person, seeming to never meet a stranger, and will somehow make you feel like you've known her for years. Her writer's nights are always a regular hot spot to hit up anytime you're in Nashville! We don't think you will be disappointed!
When we asked Alyssa about her newest project, which is to 'mentor' other artists, this is what she said:
"I am currently mentoring a select group of artists, with a wide range of styles, ages and talents. Being a DIY artist myself, I learned in over a decade of being in the industry, the do's and don't's, the should's and should not's, what works and what doesn't work. That has helped me to develop what I call 'The Process'. This is where I will teach artists how to do everything themselves and not have to rely on managers, booking agents, or public relations companies. I feel that 'anything and everything can easily be done yourself, you just need to know how to do it the right way, and that's what I can teach you'.'"
