Over the next week, all 6 divisions of MLB will be examined to find one player from each team who may be overlooked, or not given enough credit for just how much they mean to their respective team's success. Some of these players are well-known, others likely are near the bottom of the popularity list. It does not mean that they are disliked, it just goes to show that they need to start being recognized.
This list will focus on five players from the American League West You can go back and check out the previous lists focusing on players from the AL East and AL Central.

![Pos: CF2012 Notable Statistics:101 G, 27 R, .606 OPS, 3 HR, 19 RBI, 15 BB/44 SOOkay, okay, so Bourjos’ 2012 stats look terrible, right? It’s no secret why his playing time diminished so greatly from 2011 (*cough* Mike Trout *cough*). His season in '11 portrays a better sense of what can likely be expected from Bourjos, now that he is essentially solidified into the starting CF spot for the Angels this upcoming season. He’s likely to act as a second leadoff hitter, being asked to turn the lineup over to the likes of Trout, Howie Kendrick, Albert Pujols, and newly-acquired Josh Hamilton. Scouts have always stated how high they are on Bourjos as he has been a speculation of trade rumor for the previous two off-seasons. Now that he should get a sufficient amount of at-bats in a star-studded lineup, maybe he will finally break out, having an even better year than 2011. He brings a gold glove defense (high UZR[Ultimate Zone Rating] and high number of Defensive Runs Saved) and some of his highlight reel catches show his defensive value to an offensive-heavy league. Combine the offense and the defense of Bourjos and there just may be another future All-Star out in Anaheim.Source: Baseball-Reference.com, Fangraphs.com Pos: CF2012 Notable Statistics:101 G, 27 R, .606 OPS, 3 HR, 19 RBI, 15 BB/44 SOOkay, okay, so Bourjos’ 2012 stats look terrible, right?
