Bridget Kelly-Gov. Christie scandal: Former top aide Bridget Kelly aka Bridget Anne Kelly, is an American woman who was fired for lying about her knowledge of an email exchange indicating her involvement in a traffic jam that was caused in Fort Lee, N.J., after a major bridge was shut down in 2013. According to International Business Times, the traffic jam that occurred on the George Washington Bridge was believed to be in retaliation for Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich's refusal to endorse Gov. Chris Christie's bid for reelection.

Gov. Christie asks Deputy Chief of Staff Bridget Anne Kelly if she knows anything about the situation. She denies all involvement or knowledge of the scandal.

Documents obtained by TPM reveal that Gov. Christie's aide Bridget Kelly sent an email to Port Authority appointee David Wildstein in which she states: "Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee."

In a press conference held by Gov. Christi, he denies any involvement in the scandal, stating that he is sorry and humiliated by the events. He also tells reporters that Aide Bridget Kelly was fired for lying to him.

Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich does not want to hear from Gov. Chris Christie. Christie insists that he will make a visit to Fort Lee to try and make contact with those who are willing to speak with him.
