This is an excellent choice to hold the 'family summer series' for parents and children which includes educational and philanthropic activities ranging from bird watching to nature photography lessons. The series is in line with Clemson University's analysis of a U.S. Department of education study, which found that children who travel over summer break had an advantage over those who did not. The Eco Lodge at Pico Bonita is a haven for endangered flora and fauna. Located 30 minutes from La Cieba, it sits on 400 acres of an unspoilt rainforest, between two roaring rivers, and features bird watching towers, private hiking trails, and a pool.
