A home for him

He leaves His throne and comes to earth when His Name is on our heart. He won't leave us alone to wallow in trouble. Just whisper His Name and He comes to make His dwelling place with you. Highest heaven, His home cannot contain Him. Why? Maybe because He longs to be with His people. Heaven has angels that worship Him perfectly, with perfect words and maybe perfect tunes. We can't do that. Our worship is stumbling, our words clumsy, our tune can sure be off key! But the difference in the perfect angels and imperfect us is heart. Our hearts have been broken by this world and he with mercy repaired them. When a broken heart worships honesty pours out. There's a balm from the town of Gilead that heals broken hearts when applied by His hand. So that when we worship through song or on our knees the Lord experiences beauty. Not perfection, not compulsory, perfunctory worship. How can He resist broken hearts? Thank You Lord for coming near.View the list »
But who is able to build Him a house, since heaven, even highest heaven, cannot contain Him? Who am I to build Him a house, ... (2 Chronicles 2:6 AMP  There's a  reason we can't build Him a house. Who of us is worthy? We've sinned before Holy God. Not once but many times. That's why Solomon could build the House of the Lord. He was unworthy and fully aware of it. God loves a contrite heart...one that is sorry for his sin and wants to give it up.
