Located on Centre Avenue on the north side of Reading is First Energy Stadium which is the home of newly named Fightin' Phils (formerly the Reading Phillies).  The stadium is a great place to start a romantic evening watching a baseball ball or just hanging out at one of the many bars or eateries inside the stadium.

Berks County is not really know for being a place where the romantic at heart can seek out places to ply their craft. However scattered throughout the county are places where people can go for a romantic dinner, a day out together or even for a romantic weekend. Creating a romantic mood is not just about candlelight and dark rooms, it is about spending quality time together getting to know each other on a deeper level.

One of the more romantic restaurants to visit in Berks County is Stokesay Castle which is located on Spook Lane. Stokesay Restaurant was built to resemble an old English castle. This is what gives the place its quaint charm. Stokesay offers diners a fine dining experience as well as a quaint location where two people can spend a romantic dinner together.

There are a number of other great places in Berks County for romantic dinners such as the Publick House Tavern located inside the Inn at Reading. The Publick House restaurant and Taverns is styled after an old English pub. The Publick House offers casual dining. A night of food an can be combined with a stay at the Inn at Reading for complete romantic evening.

After dinner there are a number of bed and breakfast where a couple can get away from it all for a romantic adventure, at least for a night or two.

Located in the Centre Park Historic District is the Overlook Mansion Bed and Breakfast. Built in 1873 Overlook Mansion offers a quaint place for an overnight romantic stay. The mansion is located near such local attractions as The Sovereign Center, The Goggle Works and Judy's on Cherry.

For those who don't like staying in the city, the Main Street Inn located in the Borough of Kutztown offers the comfort of a stay in a small town with all the amenities of a city. A romantic stay at the Main Street in can be followed by visits to all the quaint shops and sites of the Kutztown area.

Blue Marsh a sprawling man made lake a few miles outside of Reading, PA off of Route 183 may not appear to be the most romantic place around, but there are a lot of romantic things to do in and around the water. Blue Marsh has hiking trails where a couple can enjoy a brisk walk together, maybe a canoe ride or just a quiet day with a picnic basket and the sunshine.
