Peter Hook & The Light are on tour and are playing at The Belmont in Austin on September 17. Peter is performing songs from the first two New Order albums, 'Movement' from 1981 and 'Power, Corruption & Lies' from 1983 to North American audiences for the first time. Support on this tour will be the Slaves of Venus. This nine date run of the United States, along with three dates in Canada, marks their third tour of North America after dates in 2010 and 2011 performing Joy Division’s 'Unknown Pleasures' and 'Closer' albums.
All of the shows feature full performances of both albums in sequential order, which has become a trademark of The Light’s sets. They will also include the singles and B-Sides from the same timeframe, including “Everything’s Gone Green”, “Temptation” and “Blue Monday.” New Order generally didn’t include singles on the albums, preferring their LPs to stand alone in comparison.
Tour dates include September 17 at The Belmont in Austin, TX, September 18 in Montreal at Club Soda, September 19 in Toronto at The Hoxton, September 21 in Los Angeles, CA at The Fonda Theatre, September 23 in Vancouver, BC, September 25 in Seattle, WA at Neumos, September 26 in Portland, OR at the Wonder Ballroom, September 27 in San Francisco, CA at the Mezzanine and September 28 in Englewood, CO at the Gothic Theatre.
