Katy Perry did not feel “fireworks” the night she and Miley Cyrus locked lips at the Staples Center during Cyrus’ Bangerz tour. Perry tells the Australian morning show Sunrise, "I just walked up to her to give her like a friendly girly kiss, you know, as girls do," Perry said, adding, "and then she like tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away." She added, "God knows where that tongue has been…We don't know! That tongue is so infamous!"
Miley tweeted earlier today, taking a dis at the ‘Roar’ singer’s ex John Mayer, “Girl if ur worried abt where tongues have been good thing ur ex boo is ur EX BOO cause we ALL know where THAT (tongue) been” While the playful Twitter war continues with threats of “spanking,” check out the slideshow to see some great reasons why Katy Perry should be honored Miley’s tongue was so close to her.
Cyrus‘ tongue helps her say some pretty profound things
On Cyrus‘ MTV special, ‘Miley: The Movement‘ she talked about her critics: "I'm not really scared or insecure about anything because I'm used to people judging me. I'm used to people knocking me down, so I'm used to getting back up."
Katy Perry should have let some of that wisdom rub off on her!
Most famous tongue
Who else is famous for sticking their tongue out (among other talents)? Katy Perry should be excited that she was asked to be a part of it all.
Fans love her music no matter what she does
Not many artists can pull of having an all out make- out session and ride a giant weiner at their concerts and still be praised for their music. Even though Katy Perry sang about “kissing a girl,” ww think she has evolved to a new ‘Roar.‘
She has a really good reason for sticking it out
Miley has said that she sticks her tongue out to calm her nerves when taking pictures. Cyrus told Barbra Walters in December during her 10 most fascinating people interview, "I get embarrassed to take pictures. That's actually the truth." Poor Miley has been having shade thrown at her for her own insecurities, and Katy Perry isn’t one of them!
