5 poets from the Romanticism period to read on Valentine's Day

Byron is by no doubt one of the most eccentric poets in his time but he was also one of the best too. Byron's poem, Don Juan, is considered one of the greatest long poems out there. Byron also was known for his love life, he has many affairs. He knows the words romance and passion. His poems also inspired poets in the later Romantic period.One of his poems, When We Parted is sad but a lovely piece, the lines:"Colder thy kiss; Truly that hour foretold Sorrow to this. Another that is more romantic is She Walks In Beauty, is one to read to a girlfriend or wife."She Walks in Beauty like the Night, of cloudless climes and starry skies." That is Lord Byron, the wonderfully eccentric poet that gave us some great works of poetry. Read his poems because he knows the word love! John Keats wrote some of the best poetry during his young life. At age 25, he died but he's still remember for being a great English Romantic poet. Some of his best poems are, Ode to a Nightingale, La Belle Dame Sans Merci, and Bright Star of course. Bright Star, is a beautiful poem, the lines are haunting:"Still, still to hear her tender-taken breath,  And so live ever-or else swoon to death," It's well known that Keats had his own touch with love with a woman named, Fanny Brawne. Such a passionate affair that it was turned into a movie called, "Bright Star." Sadly, though Keats died before he ever could marry Fanny. He did write a poem called, Fanny and it was well known that they wrote letters back and forth. Keats is one of the great poets to read anytime but it's special during Valentine's Day. Percy Shelley was one of Lord Byron and John Keats friends which he also like his young friends died early. Byron out of the three lived the longest till his late 30s. Before Shelley's 30th birthday he died but he has left a legacy. He wrote many good pieces of his day, one that is great of Valentine's Day would be Love's Philosophy.  The two  lines from the poem that shows how Shelley can make you feel emotions though words:"What is all this sweet work worth If thou kiss not me?His other notable works, are Adonis, Ode To The West Wind, and Ozymandias. He was also married the author of Frankenstein, Mary Shelley. Like her father she wrote some great works and translation some great ones too. Overlooked sometimes but she was part of the Romantic period. Her poem from “Phantasmion” - He Came Unlook'd For, is a beautiful piece and many critics of Phantasmion gave it some positive reviews.   • Charles Baudelaire was a bohemian, a cursed poet and a poet who didn't mind pushing the limits. He was the first poet to make a radical break with the form of verse. His poetry should be read to the loved one that is a free spirit to even the ones that like a little darker poetry.His poem, Be Drunk, makes a few good points, to be drunk on wine, poetry, or virtue aren't bad things to be drunk on.
