Style is all about trends, but (much like the goldfish you won at the carnival) trends also have a limited life span. There comes a time when every trend has outlived its cultural relevance and must be put out to pasture like a dairy cow who can no longer produce milk. In the world of fashion and beauty, trends are born, live, and die in the blink of an eye. Many trends go from hip to tacky virtually overnight, while only a select few are destined to become timelessly tasteful. Yet there are millions of women who never got the memo informing them that they are behind the times. Sadly, there were some great trends that had a short shelf life, while some awful trends continue to survive like cockroaches after a nuclear war. Stripper hair

Brow tattooing

Bad extensions

Poorly applied and poorly cared for extensions made from inferior quality hair will make it look as if roadkill has been sutured to your head. With extensions, remember: You get what you pay for.

Chunky highlights

Highlights were invented to replicate the way that the sun naturally highlights the hair. When the sun starts bleaching white skunk stripes in your hair, it's time to stockpile food and build a subterranean shelter, because it's a sure sign of End Times.
