One of the cheapest, easiest ways to dial up the flavor on what you're cooking is the use of fresh herbs. With the main herbs pretty much always being available at the store, it's easy to see which ones are popular. Typically the basil rack is empty or pretty close to it. The dill is almost always gone too. There's an overabundance of quite a few spices that really pack a great punch!
