If you like the humor of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, then you must come to the Alhambra Theater & Dining to experience the antics of Alfred Hitchcock’s “39 Steps as you savor the delectable meal that Chef DeJuan Roy has prepared just for this show. Take a look below at the tantalizing edibles, and remember to come out and support your favorite Celebrity and their charity during Celebrity Week.
Tod Booth (Director/Producer) Note: This theatrical version of “The 39 steps” is presented by four actors. Our hero, Richard Hannay (Nathan L. Freeman), is played by one man throughout. Annabella, Margaret & Pamela (Gracie Winchester) are played by one woman. And all the other parts (I estimate over 150) are played by two men, called Clown 1 (Ethan Paulini) and Clown 2 (Tom Bengston). The words were written in 1935 by Hitchcock’s team of writers and are as resonant today as they were then. This 2-time Tony & Drama Desk Award winning treat is packed with nonstop laughs.

Fish & Chips
This is one choice from the second course. Fish & Chips – Crispy Cod Beer Batter Fish – housemade fries, creamed peas served with Dill Tarter Sauce. This writer had the opportunity to taste this meal and it was delicious. You never need any other condiments on your meal.
Curried Vegetable Pot Pie
This is one choice from the second course. Curried Vegetable Pot Pie with Cauliflower Mash. For anyone who is a vegetarian, this would be a delectable choice.
Nutmeg Custard Tartlets
This is one choice from the third course. Nutmeg Custard Tartlets – with fresh berry compote and whipped cream. Delicious from the oven, this dessert was creamy and well seasoned with fresh nutmeg. The aroma was wonderful!
Fresh Cucumber Salad
This is one choice from the first course. Fresh Cucumber Salad, chopped tomatoes, julienned red onions in creamy dill dressing. Very tasty and delicious. My Granddaughter likes cucumbers and she was gracious enough to give me a taste. Wunderbar!!!
Bangers & Mash
This is one choice from the first course. Bangers & Mash - English Sausage and mashed potatoes. (Bangers are a type of sausage common to the UK. They are often an essential part of pub food, as they are quick to prepare, but they're also often made at home. This was very good!!! I could have had another.
This is one choice from the second course. Chicken Divan – Served with Linguini pasta & Broccolini (is a green vegetable similar to broccoli but with smaller florets and longer, thin stalks. Often misidentified as young broccoli)
Roasted Boneless Leg of Lamb
This is one choice from the second course. Roasted Boneless Leg of Lamb, mashed potatoes, green beans with demi glaze (Lamb or Mutton are terms for the meat of domestic sheep at different ages. A sheep in its first year is called a lamb; and its meat is also called lamb). I like my lamb well-done.
Peaches and Cream
This is one choice from the third course. Peaches and Cream – Fresh, Succulent Peaches with Chantilly Cream atop a piece of white cake, nestled in a sugar-cone bowl. Again, my Granddaughter allowed me to have a taste and I wanted one too.
