Thirty young women got a taste of what their lives will be like if they are selected to the 2014 Rose Parade Royal Court on Thursday when they stepped out of Tournament House for the first official photo opp of the year. We were there to get some snapshots.

The ladies represent 15 different high schools and Pasadena City College, and about a 50-50 mix of public and private schools and students. They also reflect the diverse ethnicities that enrich the northwest San Gabriel Valley. From this group, seven girls will be selected to serve on the Royal Court, and one of those seven will become the Rose Queen.

For the names of the girls and the schools they attend, flip through the list attached to this article. Be sure to check back with the Tournament of Roses Examiner to see the announcement of the Tournament of Roses Royal Court on Monday, Oct. 7, and the choice for Rose Queen on Thursday, Oct. 24.

The theme of the 125th Rose Parade and 100th Rose Bowl Game on Jan. 1, 2014 is “Dreams Come True” The Tournament of Roses is a celebration that lasts several weeks in the fall and winter.
