The designation "gifted" can have, underneath it, dozens of different subcategories. There are children who are gifted academically, children who are gifted musically, children who are gifted athletically or socially.
No two are alike, and no two have the same needs when it comes to learning and peer group environments. Add to that parents who have different goals for their children and different opinion about how their talents should be nurtured, as well as towards what ultimate goal, and it becomes clear that there is no such thing as One Size Fits All when it comes to gifted education.
