The field is set as the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs will begin later this week. Below are all eight match ups as well as my predictions (keep in mind there are no reseeding starting this postseason). We’ll start with the Western Conference:
Anaheim Ducks vs. Dallas Stars
Dallas will give all the Ducks a run my Anaheim holds on to win in six games.
San Jose Sharks vs. Los Angeles Kings
This series is going seven in my opinion. I’ll go with the Kings in a slight upset.
Colorado Avalanche vs. Minnesota Wild
I like the Avs in this series and they get it done in six games.
St. Louis Blues vs. Chicago Blackhawks
The Blues are limping into the postseason. Hawks in five games.
Now for the Eastern Conference:
Boston Bruins vs. Detroit Red Wings
This one goes seven games with Boston squeaking by.
Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Montreal Canadians
In a slight upset, the Habs win in seven games.
Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Columbus Blue Jackets
The Jackets will make this a series but the Pens outlast them, win in six games.
New York Rangers vs. Philadelphia Flyers
I expect this series to be nasty, give me the Rangers in seven games.
