This year's Grammy Awards ceremony was certainly groundbreaking in regard to jewelry fashions, musical performances, and popular culture. The 56th Annual Grammy Awards were held on Sunday, January 26th, 2014 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Musical artists captivated the live audience and viewers at home during their performances on stage, while other A-list celebrities accepted their hard-earned accolades for their work in the respective categories throughout the past year. This year's Grammy Awards also revived long standing controversies surrounding same sex marriage as Queen Latifah conducted simultaneous live wedding ceremonies for 34 mixed gender couples. The wedding ceremonies took place during the musical performance of "Same Love," a collaboration involving Madonna, Macklemore, Ryan Lewis, and Miranda Lambert. The evenings festivities were hosted by fellow musician, L.L. Cool J.
Prior to the evening's events, hot fashion trends were splashing across the red carpet. It could certainly be said the Grammy Awards were a definitive marker for styles we'll be observing throughout the rest of 2014. Be sure to check out our "2014 Grammy Awards Jewelry Trends."
