The 2013 Pro Football Hall of Fame class was announced on Feb. 2, 2013, on the eve of Super Bowl Sunday.
Six former players and former Super Bowl winning head coach Bill Parcells make up the list of seven men who will be inducted into the Hall of Fame, a high honor in the football world.
The men were selected by a group of 44 voters from a pool of 17 nominees.
Joining Parcells in the 2013 Hall of Fame class are offensive linemen Larry Allen and Jonathan Ogden, wide receiver Cris Carter, defensive tackle Curley Culp, defensive tackle Warren Sapp, and linebacker Dave Robinson.
Parcells had a 19-year coaching career and led all four teams he coached to the playoffs. He also helped the New York Giants get two Super Bowl titles.
Giants co-owner John Mara issued a statement about Parcells selection in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, "This is long overdue ... He's one of the best coaches in NFL history. He turned our franchise around. We went through a long period in the 1960s and 70s when we were a laughing stock."
The seven men voted in will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August.
